According to merchants, Bulgarian tourists benefit from the high exchange rate of the lev due to the devaluation of the Turkish lira. One lev is exchanged for 19.12 Turkish lira.
''Our neighbors from Bulgaria, who mainly come on Fridays to buy fish, say that bonito here is much cheaper than in their country. They buy 10-15 pieces at a time", says fish seller Yusuf Çimen.
