The week of Bulgarian documentary cinema for art and creators "Doc-Art-Fest" will take place in Berlin from October 31 to November 6 this year.

"Talent has no nationality, but its roots matter - it draws strength from them and returns to them, because there it finds security. That is why the festival starts with the film Flying with Fins dedicated to the outstanding artist Alzek Misheff who returned to Bulgaria after a 50-year separation", says the curator of the festival Hristo Hristozov.
In his words, several attempts will be made to open the boxes of memories - of the artists Luben Stoev, whose image his nephew Ray van Zetschau is trying to assemble, of the jazz singer Yildiz Ibrahimova or the "Nightingale of the Balkans", of the cinema icon Liv Ullman in a meeting with Georgi Toshev.

Great importance is also attached to the meetings along the way with other human beings - Marin Goleminov and Tsanko Lavrenov, Nikola Gruev-Kotarashki, his "Rain Dogs" and dozens of weirdos.

Seven films are included in the selection of the festival, the screenings of which with free admission will be held from 6 pm at the Brotfabrik cinema. The event will be held under the patronage of the Bulgarian ambassador to Germany, Grigor Porozhanov.
