On November 22 and 23, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church will solemnly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the consecration of the Patriarchal Cathedral "St. Alexander Nevsky". For a century the cathedral has been "a witness to all the hopes and disappointments, joys and sorrows, triumphs and defeats, aspirations and desires" of the Bulgarian people, the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church notes on its website.
In the message it is stated that on the occasion of the centenary, delegations of all the Orthodox Churches will arrive in Bulgaria to participate in the celebration of our native Church.

On the evening of November 22, an evening divine liturgy will be celebrated in the Patriarchal Cathedral and the following morning His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil and Metropolitan of Sofia will serve a divine liturgy.
