Romania’s President Iohannis awards maestro Nayden Todorov the Order of Cultural Merit

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis awarded maestro Nayden Todorov the Order of Cultural Merit in the rank of Grand Officer, Category F - Promoting Culture. The prestigious award recognizes Maestro Todorov’s long-standing efforts in bilateral rapprochement and was presented upon the recommendation of the Romanian Ambassador to Sofia, Brândușa Predescu.

Caretaker Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov regularly conducts major Romanian orchestras. Among them are the Romanian National Radio Orchestra Bucharest, the Bucharest National Opera, the George Enescu Philharmonic, the Brașov Philharmonic, the Brașov Opera Orchestra, the Constanța National Opera Orchestra, etc.

In 2024, he organized a concert for the Sofia Philharmonic at the prestigious concert hall ''Athenaenum''. On March 3, 2025, the National Orchestra of Bulgaria will return there with an all-Bulgarian programme.
