Under the patronage of Vice President Iliana Iotova, the Presidency hosted a Conference on the Role of Women in Diplomacy, the Presidency's press office announced. During the event, Iliana Iotova emphasized that she believes in the innate qualities of women, which are key in making important decisions, including, for example, stopping military conflicts," Yotova said. According to the Vice President, having more women in leadership positions is a guarantee of success.

"Women have an unmistakable sense of justice and freedom - concepts that have become very devalued over time. We know how to gain trust and build healthy relationships, and diplomacy is also built on personal trust," she added. Iotova gave Bulgaria as an example, where in 34 years the growth in positions held by women has been 50%, and today they are about 5% more than men in the diplomatic missions of the country.

The organizer of the event, which was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps in Bulgaria, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the scientific community, is the Specialized Institute of Francophonie in Administration and Management with a special guest - Prof. Laurence Badel, from the Sorbonne.
