There is a persistent trend of a greater number of Bulgarians returning from abroad, as well as citizens of EU countries settling in the country. This was what Georgi Parvanov, a human resources expert and member of the Bulgarian Employment Confederation said. According to him the demographic situation is starting to improve. Among the examples, he cited the tenfold growth of Germans settling in the Dobrich region. 30,000 - 40,000 workers came into our country in 2024. This will bring their total number in recent years to a six-digit figure. The expert pointed out that most manufacturers could hardly cope without using seasonal labor from countries outside the EU.

Another trend is also being reported: a boom in young people who want to work, as well as a boom in people of retirement age who want to continue working.
