Grigor Dimitrov starts his participation in the first Grand Slam tournament of 2025

Grigor Dimitrov will play in Melbourne today and would try to walk the path to a first Grand Slam title. The Bulgarian will face Fabio Fognini from Italy at the start of the Australian Open.

If Dimitrov starts with a victory, his opponent in the second round will be the winner of the match David Goffin (Belgium) - Benjamin Bonzi (France).

Grigor Dimitrov will participate for the 15th consecutive time in the tournament in Melbourne. His best performance is quarterfinal in 2014, 2018 and 2021. Last year he was eliminated in the third round by Nuno Borges.

The best Bulgarian female tennis player, Viktoriya Tomova, will face Daria Kasatkina from Russia, in the first round.
