The European Commission has decided to close the infringement procedure against Bulgaria for the non-implementation of its obligations to review and update the Second Flood Risk Management Plans and the Third River Basin Management Plans.
A statement from the press center of the Ministry of Environment and Water reads that at the end of 2024, the Flood Risk Management Plans for the four river basin regions for the period 2022-2027 were adopted by decisions of the Council of Ministers, and the European Commission was immediately informed that Bulgaria had fulfilled its commitments.
