Weather forecast: Sunday will be cloudy with rain in some places

During the night, the cloud cover over most of the country will be mostly significant, and there will be light rain in some areas in Western Bulgaria. There will be a light wind, moderate in Northeastern Bulgaria. The lowest temperatures will range between 3°C and 8°C, for Sofia around 5°C.

On Sunday, the cloud cover will remain mostly significant, and in some places in the southwestern part of the country, there will be brief, light rain showers. More precipitation is expected in the southwestern regions, and in some places, thunderstorms are possible. No precipitation is expected in Northeastern Bulgaria. There will be light to moderate southerly and southwesterly winds. The maximum temperatures will range from 16°C to 21°C, for Sofia around 17°C.

In the mountains, the cloud cover will be significant with rain showers, mainly in Rila and the Rhodopes. There, the rain will be heavier in some areas, and thunderstorms are possible. It will snow above 2,000 meters. There will be a moderate to strong wind from the west-southwest. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 10°C, at 2,000 meters – around 5°C.

Over the Black Sea coast, the cloud cover will be significant. Light rain will fall over the southern coastline in the evening. There will be moderate southeasterly wind. Daytime highs will range from 9°C-11°C on the northern coast to 12°C-16°C on the southern coast. The sea water temperature is 7°C-8°C. Sea state 2-3.
