“Today, united by the power of our faith in the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we celebrate together again and are inspired by His Resurrection. May it help us to do good deeds!” With these words, the Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova congratulated Bulgarian citizens on the Resurrection of Christ. She wished each of us to help those in need and forgive those who have sinned, as the Christian religion teaches us.

“May the festive light unite us around the pursuit of peace, creation and prosperity – as a people and as a state,” wrote Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov on Facebook. He called on everyone on this holy day, illuminated by hope and the power of faith, to turn to the eternal Christian virtues of charity, humility and spiritual resilience.

“May we always be united in protecting human life and in caring for the future of Bulgaria – our children.” This wish was sent by President Rumen Radev, adding: “Let us stand and remain as a people striving for peace and prosperity in the modern world of trials!”
