Hello dear friends!
In today’s mailbag program – we have the highlights from RB’s mailbox over the past month received at the English section here and we’d like to thank all of you who took the time to write to us with opinions and ideas, also thanks everyone who joined us on Facebook over the past weeks, we do cherish this community of friends we have there.
Also in this show – the main topic is a Bulgaria-related event of the past week that took place in the US capital where a street intersection outside the Bulgarian Embassy in Washington was renamed on November 12 in honor of a lawmaker from that country who is credited with helping spare the lives of tens of thousands of Jews during the Holocaust. Dimitar Peshev Plaza was inaugurated at an official ceremony attended by the Bulgarian Ambassador to the US, Mrs. Elena Poptodorova, D.C. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson and Neil Glick, who championed Peshev’s cause.
And as to RB’s quiz – we have received a couple of new, correct answers over the past two weeks – and in case any of you would like to join this contest, you can still do it, just tune into any of the previous editions of AYL to hear the question and all the tips we gave you, and they are not few at all – all shows of AYL can be found in the section Feedback on our website.
Don’t hesitate to contact us on any questions and suggestions you might have. The addresses for contact are english@bnr.bg and in Facebook at Radio Bulgaria English Service.
