The best Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has won the Sports Icarus Award of the Bulgarian Sport Foundation. For the 23rd time it defined the winners and gave awards at a ceremony that took place in the National Art Gallery in Sofia. Dimitrov is currently number 11 in the world rankings. The tennis player is not in Bulgaria and therefore he could not receive the award personally. The Bulgarian ranks sixth in the 2014 world rankings for number of titles. Moreover, Dimitrov has placed Bulgaria on the eighth place in the world rankings with a total of four tennis finals.
