The official unveiling of the New Year Music Fest 2015 will be on December 2. The international forum shall start with a concert of Alexandrina Pendachanska with arias for soprano and mezzo-soprano. A few days before the event she went to Plovdiv, in order to rehearse the program of the forthcoming concert together with the orchestra of the State Opera in that city. Speranza Scappucci is the conductor of the production and this is her first visit to Bulgaria. This is also her first joint performance together with the world famous opera singer. Speranza has graduated the Julliard School where she’s had a lot of acquaintances with Bulgarians. “I can say that my contact with Bulgaria began long before my visit here. I am happy with that chance. Alexandrina is a great artist, an incredible impersonator. I am honored to share the same stage with her” – words of the young Italian for the fans of Radio Bulgaria. She will conduct parts of Mozart’s The Clemency of Titus and Don Juan, The Barber of Seville and Semiramide by Rossini, along with Verdi’s Don Carlos and The Force of Destiny etc.

The musicians from the New Year Fest poster arrive from across the globe – Spain, the USA, France, the Czech Republic, Argentina, Georgia etc. The Dutch guests are from the Osiris trio and their program is titled Inspiration – on December 9 we will hear works of Beethoven, Mendelson and others.

On December 11 – 12 and within the two Sofia Welcomes Luxemburg concerts we will listen to works of young laureates of the Luxembourg-held International Composition Competition, organized by Bulgarian Albena Petrovich–Vrachanska – a composer and pedagogue in the Grand Duchy. The authors and soloists come from the USA, France, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Greece and Bulgaria. Their works will sound in the rendition of the Pioneer Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, conductor – Lyubomir Denev Jr.

Classics and Romanticism - that is the name of the program that violinist Dimitar Burov and pianist Lyudmil Angelov have prepared for their fans. Concerts on Pillows are envisaged for the right time of the day, presenting in proper form classical music for children and parents. The Chords of Light and Shuman’s Soul concerts are also in the poster, along with Classics meets Jazz etc.

Traditionally, the final event of the New Year Festival will take place on January 1 under the slogan The Spirit of Spain. Soprano Federica Lombardi from Italy and Bulgarian violinist Vesko Eskenazi will be the soloists, while the conductor of the festive orchestra will be Jose Luis Gomez from Spain.
