60,000 Bulgarians leave their country each year

Each year between 50,000 and 60,000 people leave Bulgaria in search of a better-paid job abroad. The information was presented by the local labor unions, Nova TV informed. Thus, a total of 2.5 million Bulgarians in active age work abroad. They send to their relatives in Bulgaria over EUR 850 million each year. This is another Bulgarian absurdity: most of the unemployed Bulgarians rely on the money sent by their relatives who work abroad. Although many job positions are offered at the local labor market, those people prefer to stay at home and live on bank transfers, Nova TV concludes.
