Bulgarian MEPs support invocation of Article 50

Almost all Bulgarian MEPs – from GERB party, the Reformist Bloc, the Bulgarian Socialist Party and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms – supported the immediate invocation of Article 50 of the Treaty of Lisbon which is the only way Great Britain can leave the EU. The resolution was approved on 28 June by 359 votes “for”, 200 “against” and 71 “abstained”. The European Parliament also calls for reforming the EU, including re-examining the Treaty of Lisbon.
