The rest arrived from other countries, including EU member states. On the other hand, nearly 30,000 Bulgarians emigrated in 2015. Most of them were young people in active age. 17.5% of the people who left Bulgaria and settled abroad were aged twenty or under. Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain are the three most-preferred destinations for Bulgarian migrants. The national statistics reports about a very interesting trend with regard to the internal migration- over 37% of the Bulgarians changed their urban lifestyle for life in Bulgarian villages.
