The city of Veliko Tarnovo plays host for the 19th time to the festival of world folklore heritage. The streets of the Old Bulgarian capital enjoy the colorful parade of folk groups from Mexico, Brazil, Columbia, Chile, Chinese Taipei and the USA. The Bulgarian students who won medals from the International Mathematics Competition Po Leung Kuk in Hong Kong were heartily welcomed home at Sofia Airport. They are 6 graders from Professor Boyan Penev School, as well as from the Sofia Mathematics School and the Science and Mathematics school in the city of Burgas.

The smart Bulgarian kids won a total of 10 medals: 1 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze in the individual ranking. The team also snatched the silver in the group ranking. The gold medal holder – Angel, achieved the maximum of 15 points. The history of the competition has one more Bulgarian with the maximum number of points back in 2010.
