Almost half of Bulgaria’s citizens are against death penalty

47% of the Bulgarian citizens are against the introduction of death penalty and 33% support the introduction of death penalty in Bulgaria, a public opinion survey of Gallup International shows. 813 Bulgarian nationals took part at that survey between July 28 and August 4 in all Bulgarian regions. Most of the Bulgarians who supported the introduction of death penalty were elderly people. Those with higher education were categorically against death penalty.
