Bulgarian athlete Silvia Danekova expelled from Rio games over doping test

Bulgarian steeplechase runner Silvia Danekova has been officially expelled from the Olympic Games in Rio after she tested positive for a banned substance. Danekova was scheduled to join the 3000 m steeplechase series today. European weightlifting champion in the 94 kg category Tomasz Zielinski from Poland was expelled from the games for the same reasons. Chinese swimmer Chen Xinyi’s rights to compete have been temporarily suspended until the procedure is finalized after she tested positive for the banned substance hydrochlorothiazide.
