Some 1,000 Bulgarian scientists have gathered in a square downtown Sofia. At the meeting of the parliamentary committee on education yesterday, President of BAS Acad. Stefan Vodenitcharov announced that 1835 employees out of a total of 6800 people working in the academy receive the minimum monthly salary of 215 euros. The average salary in BAS is 356 euros a month, while the average salary in the country is 456 euro, according to NSI data by the end of 2015.
