Bulgaria receives excellent assessment for preparation of Sofia for European Capital of Sport

At a ceremony in the European Parliament in Brussels the leadership of the European Cities and Capitals of Sports Federation (ACES Europe) assessed as "excellent" the efforts of Sofia in preparation for European Capital of Sport in 2018. At a ceremony the city of Stara Zagora received a certificate of meeting the requirements for "city of sports" in 2017 and Bansko - a certificate of "Small town of sport" in 2017. The event was attended by representatives of cities and municipalities from across Europe, high-level guests from the European Commission and MEPs.
