The things that Frenchman Laurent Assoulen does really deserve the seeking of a special word – and he found it: MUSIsCENT. The man is an expert in perfumery, but also a professional musician. That is why he has decided to combine his huge love for both into The Perfumed Concert project. He has been touring around the globe for 7 years now with his music, combined with scents, created by him. Right before Christmas Laurent met with the Bulgarian audience at a chamber concert, organized by a large retail chain store. It turned out that he’d had a special connection with Bulgaria, although he had never been here.

Laurent has presented his unusual project into France, Luxemburg, Italy, Russia, Brazil, Korea, Angola etc. He also dreams of India and China. The perfumed concerts are not designed for some large audience due to the idea for the creation of a different, intimate world of nice feelings. The pianist has released three CDs so far, one of those in a trio together with Marc Michel Lebevillon (bass) and Matthieu Chazarenc (drums). It is expected that in 2017 the trio will present another album. Laurent on the other hand is convinced that he wants to return to Bulgaria one day.

In the audio file you can hear what else he said for Radio Bulgaria. The file also features two of his music works – “Dad on a Cloud” and “First Date”
