The newspaper adds that the caretaker cabinet has changed half of the country’s district governors appointed by the former government headed by GERB party. The caretaker cabinet cleansed the Road Infrastructure Agency after the tragic accident on Hemus Motorway, Capital daily writes on its first page. Yesterday’s staff changes of district governors were accompanied with dismissals at the Road Infrastructure Agency and the Bulgarian State Railways, the newspaper further writes. The changes were due to the catastrophic condition of BDZ and the accident in Echemishka tunnel when a corroded lamb beam fell on a passenger vehicle and killed a 64 years-old Bulgarian woman sitting in the front seat. The newspapers also focus on the reactions of GERB members on occasion of yesterday’s replacements of district governors. Former Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov said that the actions of the caretaker cabinet were pure revanchism. However, Former Deputy Premier Tomislav Donchev said that the cabinet cannot be subject to criticism for its actions. In his words, the former cabinet had resigned and the new government has the right to make such changes. The names of the newly appointed district governors are reason for concern though.
