Motorcyclists organize protest in front of Palace of Justice in Sofia

Friends and relatives of 36-year old motorcyclist Ivailo Andreev who was killed three years ago in a road accident with an international heavy goods vehicle near Byala, organized a protest against the ruling of the Rousse district prosecutor’s office.

The bikers came out in protest against the court ruling that Ivailo Andreev was responsible for his own death and demanded that the Court of Appeals in Veliko Turnovo review the data and the evidence and return an adequate ruling. Friends of other motorcyclists killed on the road near Dragoman – Tanya and Boyko – joined the protest demanding that motorcyclists be regarded as any other road users and that law enforcement agencies apply the law strictly with regard to anyone displaying high-risk behavior on the road.
