Bulgarian Ministry of Defense continues to work on agreements for increasing security in Black Sea region

The Ministry of Defense continues to work on agreements adopted at the NATO Summit in Warsaw in July 2016, aimed at increasing security in the Black Sea region. This was announced by the press center of the ministry in relation to false comments over increasing NATO’s military presence in the Black Sea.

At the summit, in which former President Rosen Plevneliev, former Minister of Defense Nenchev and former Foreign Minister Mitov took part, it was agreed that there should be bigger number of military exercises in the Black Sea region in order to deter and prevent conflicts.

The current caretaker government continues developing the principles of Bulgaria’s defense policy in the spirit of conventions adopted at the NATO summit in Warsaw, the statement of the Ministry reads.
