Among the houses preserved in the Old Plovdiv quarters of the city, the house of Georgi Klianti is the one with the most interesting architecture and decorations. It is unique with its painted wooden carved ceilings and cupboards and the engravings on the windowpanes, as well as its polychrome gold-plated ornaments. The house is also the only one preserved from the late asymmetric type of construction preserved in Bulgaria.    Photo: BTA
