Few people know that the first Bulgarian geographical globe was made in 1836. Its author is Neophyte Rilski. Today the globe is preserved and kept at the church history museum of Rila Monastery. Monk Neophyte Rilski was a monk and teacher in the region of the Rila Mountain. Some of the textbooks are also a valuable part of the museum’s exposition. Photo: BTA
