With the approach of Easter the animal market in Blagoevgrad becomes livelier. The supply and demand for the traditional feast lambs and kids still is not very big, but it is expected to grow in the coming days. For the time being piglets are most in demand. A team of the LIFE project “Ground for the Royal Eagle” of the Bulgarian Bird Protection Society discovered a new nest of that specie in the protected area Natura 2000, more particularly in the Derventski Hills . Last year there was one more new couple in the same region. Artist Stefan Georgiev arranged his exhibition of paintings entitled “Transformations” in the Nesi Gallery in Burgas. A large part of his paintings are influenced by his long stay in Greece, being thus imbibed with that country’s local cultural traditions passed through the prism of his artistic sensitivity.
