At the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Luxembourg Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva welcomed the progress in the cooperation between the European Union and NATO in counteracting cyber and hybrid threats, exchange of information, border security, illegal migration and energy efficiency fields. The EU and NATO should expand interaction in new spheres such as fight against terrorism, Minister Zaharieva further said. With regard to the migrant crisis Ekaterina Zaharieva pointed out that all countries should show solidarity and provide support to the EU frontline countries. Moreover, the geographic scope of the partnership with migrants’ countries of origin in the Middle East and Asia should expand, Deputy Premier Zaharieva further said.
