President Radev: Consolidating the bond of our compatriots abroad with Bulgaria is a priority for the presidential institution

During his visit to Romania, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev held talks with the leadership of the Union of Bulgarians in Banat and the Federation of Bulgarian Communities in Romania.

The Bulgarian president stated that consolidating the ties of our compatriots abroad with Bulgaria was a priority for the presidential institution and promised consistent efforts for restoring the option of the Bulgarian community in Bucharest having their own church, where public worship shall be in the Bulgarian language. Representatives of the Bulgarian societies in Romania requested that one more teacher be sent to teach the Bulgarian language to our compatriots in our neighbor to the north.
