Bulgarian Prime Minister Borissov and US Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs discuss Western Balkans

Processes in the Western Balkan countries were among the topics discussed during Prime Minister Boyko Borissov's meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Hoyt Yee.

Prime Minister Borissov has pointed out the importance of the European perspective for the countries of the region. He said that the question of their EU membership will be one of our country's priorities during the rotational presidency of the EU Council in 2018, the government's press service reported.

Boyko Borissov and Hoyt Yee also talked about strengthening bilateral partnership between Bulgaria and the United States in the interest of the common goals of the two countries as allies. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Ministers Tomislav Donchev and Ekaterina Zaharieva.
