Bulgaria’s National Assembly adopted at first reading amendments to the Labor Code against employers who delay payments of salaries or do not pay wages at all. The General Labor Inspectorate Executive Agency is now allowed to issue mandatory prescriptions which can enable disadvantaged workers and employees to request orders that will oblige employers to make immediate payments.
