Massive police operation in Sofia last night

A massive police raid was launched in Sofia last night by the special counter-terrorism unit and the COBRA squad of the Sofia Directorate of the Interior Ministry, the BNR's Horizont channel reports.

According to initial information six people have been detained, five of them were arrested in the vicinity Trakia highway in the outskirts of the city. The men were inside two cars which were searched by the police. According to BNR sources the criminal group detained is connected with drug trafficking though this time they have been detained for a different crime. The police will continue the operation during the day. 

Interior Ministry Chief Secretary Mladen Marinov confirmed there was such an operation and specified that it was supervised by the prosecutor's office.
