In a telephone conversation with his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has called for guaranteeing the rights of the Bulgarian minority in Albania in line with international laws.

The reason for the call is the Minority Protection Act that is being prepared in Tirana. Prime Minister Edi Rama said the draft is still being prepared and Albania will not harm the interests of the Bulgarian minority.

Communication on the bill between Sofia and Tirana would continue so that the interests of the Bulgarians in Albania are protected, the government's press service in Sofia announced.
