The Bulgarian Red Cross has organized a campaign to raise funds for families affected. The European Commission has expressed readiness to help Bulgaria after the deadly floods. So far, no such request has been made by the Bulgarian state. This could be done after complete assessment of the damage caused. Initial calculations show the sum of 2 million euros will be needed.
