Family, peace and security are what matter most to Bulgarians: survey

Photo: library

Family, peace and security are the values Bulgarians consider to be most important, indicates a nationally representative survey conducted by Trend research centre, commissioned by the Right-Wing Policy Institute.

Over 90 percent of the respondents say that education and healthcare should be completely free of charge, and 86 percent – that every single person should be guaranteed a minimum income and that the state is obligated to provide a job to all people who want to work. Bulgarians want the state to play a serious role in their lives, nonetheless, they do not agree to a rise in taxes, if that is what it will take, says Dimitar Ganev, expert at the centre.
