Small business continues to suffer from staff shortages

The biggest problem for 70 percent of small business in Bulgaria is the shortage of any kind of workforce. This is what a study of the Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises shows.

Small entrepreneurs are discouraged by the lack of effective state policy. According to them, low taxes are the major form of state support. 43% of entrepreneurs expect state aid in order to sell their produce.

The most successful are export oriented businesses, as well as those working in the fields of information and communication technologies, machine building, food industry, services and tourism.
