"This double-faced policy on the part of Serbia must stop as it continues to play the same game it has played over the past 50 years. The recent steps of the Zaev cabinet in Macedonia towards Bulgaria is what actually irritates Belgrade," MEP Angel Dzhambazki said in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio. Mr. Dzhambazki commented on the case of Bulgarian doctors, who arrived in the town of Bosilegrad at the invitation of the Cultural and Information Center there, but were arrested by Serbian police.

"As MEP I have prepared many questions for the European Parliament related to Serbia's behavior as a country that wants to be part of the EU. The word veto will be heard once more. We can veto Serbia's EU accession. Belgrade has recognized the Bulgarian national minority there and can not treat it in this way," Angel Dzhambazki added.

"Serbia is also obliged to ensure the right of Bulgarians in the Western Outlands to education in Bulgarian language. I have personally seen a textbook in Bulgarian, printed in just 30 copies," the MEP added.
