Sofia is hosting a Bulgarian-Iranian business forum, organized by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency. Representatives of 15 dairy companies from Iran are attending the forum and looking into partnership and investment opportunities in Bulgaria.
“Milk production is of strategic significance for Bulgaria and the country has long-standing traditions in the sector,” said Deputy Economy Minister Alexander Manolev. In his words there are 313 dairy enterprises in Bulgaria employing close to 8,300 people. He expressed the hope that more Iranian companies will avail themselves of the advantages Bulgaria offers as a destination for business and investments in this and other sectors of mutual interest.
