Bulgarian business has optimistic expectations for 2018. According to companies, improvement will be marked in sales, employment, investment and the business environment as a whole. This is the result of a survey of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 62.7% of respondents expect the business climate to improve in 2018. Optimism is due to stable macroeconomic indicators, wider access to financing, taxes remaining low and the internal market expanding. Expectations for exports are also improving - almost 50% of companies believe that their sales abroad will rise in 2018 and 42.3 per cent do not foresee any change.
