In connection with the imminent eruption of the Agung volcano in Bali, a crisis headquarters has been set up at the Bulgarian Embassy in Indonesia, in order to help compatriots in need.

An information office for citizens from EU countries is also operating at the international airport on the island to inform people about the situation and possibilities for protection.

The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sofia strongly recommends that Bulgarians residing or traveling to Bali Island stay cautious, monitor information in local media and strictly observe authorities' safety guidelines.
