Bulgaria is second biggest exporter of skis in EU

Bulgaria ranks second in the European Union in terms of export of cross-country and downhill skis to other EU member states, data of Eurostat show. Bulgaria has exported nearly 133,000 cross-country skis to the EU. Austria tops the ranking with almost double the result. Great Britain places third with 97,000 pairs exported to the EU. Austria tops the ranking in terms of the number of exported downhill ski pairs- nearly 1 million pairs. Bulgaria exported 471,000 pairs. The Czech Republic placed third with 452,000 exported pairs. According to Eurostat, Bulgaria exported cross-country skis worth EUR 4.5 million and downhill skis worth just over EUR 29 million.
