EU seeks project-based support for six Western Balkan countries: Ekaterina Zaharieva

The foreign ministers of Albania - Ditmir Bushati, Bosnia and Herzegovina - Igor Crnadak, Kosovo - Behgjet Pacolli, Republic of Macedonia - Nikola Dimitrov, Serbia - Ivica Dacic, and Montenegro - Srdjan Darmanovic, met at a forum in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The ministers discussed the political integration of the region in the European Union and connectivity options to be funded under different programs.

"The European Union wants to provide project-based support to the six countries of the Western Balkans. At the Sofia Summit in May, we want not only to give you political support but also to agree on specific initiatives," Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva told her colleagues from the Western Balkan countries which have not joined the European Union yet.
