The EU is hoping that Syria donors’ conference in Brussels will boost the blocked peace moves under the auspices of the United Nations. Nearly 80 countries and various world organizations are taking part at the conference. The forum has given a clear sign about the necessity of political dialogue for Syria, Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva said. The recovery of this country can begin after a real political process. We all admitted that unfortunately the real political process has not started yet, although in 2015 the United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted a resolution outlining the plan for political transition and de-escalation of the tension in Syria. The truth is that we have to start implementing the decisions we have taken together, Minister Zaharieva underlined.
