Europe's future is digital, and in this digital Europe young people are the engine, Bulgarian Commissioner Mary Gabriel said today during a public discussion on the topic of "The future of youth in a digital Europe" at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", at which the Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of EU Lilyana Pavlova and MEP Iskra Mihaylova were also present.

The EU commissioner also said a project for free wireless internet access for municipalities across Europe has started. According to her, at least 15 Bulgarian municipalities will be selected.

We plan to have five such invitations by 2020, aiming to cover between 6 and 8 thousand municipalities in Europe, and they will be the ones to decide which public space would need free internet, EU commissioner Mariya Gabriel said.
