Bulgaria expects 5 to 7 percent growth in number of foreign tourists

Growth of the number of foreign tourists reaching between 5 and 7 percent is expected in Bulgaria during this year, Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova said at the opening of the third International Hotel and Tourism Investment Forum sector.

For the first 4 months of the year Bulgaria was visited by 1.7 million foreign tourists, which shows 9-percent growth in comparison to the same period in the previous year. According to Minister Angelkova, Bulgaria is a destination offering high-quality tourist products.

Four and five-star hotels have been 95-100 percent booked for July and August, and 80% in September. The number of beds in 4 and 5-star hotels in this country have increased by 24% since 2014, it was reported.
