With a running competition to Cherni Vrah (“Black Peak”) Bulgarians are to celebrate the 123th anniversary since the beginning of organized tourist movement in Bulgaria.
The Vitosha Run event, organized by the Marathon organization and the Sofia Municipality will be held on the 26th of August for the 12th time. The start is at 9:00 in front of the National Palace of Culture in the capital. The race is 18 km long with a total vertical climb of 1734 meters. So far, more than 250 people have registered for the Vitosha Run, as control time for reaching to the summit is 5 hours, and the record is held by Shaban Mustafa, who in 2015 reached the peak for 1.36:46 hours.
