Bulgaria is cheapest EU country for consumer goods and services

The prices of food products, consumer goods and services in Bulgaria are lowest as compared to other EU member states, analysis of Eurostat for 2017 shows. Bulgaria is the EU country with cheapest food, clothing, electricity, water, heating, healthcare, education, transport, alcohol and tobacco products. Denmark and Luxembourg are the most expensive EU countries for consumer goods. The citizens of Copenhagen spend most on food, restaurants and hotels. Luxembourg is the EU country with biggest expenses on housing. Ireland is the most expensive EU country for alcohol and tobacco products.
