President of Bulgarian National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva meets President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, update

The President of the Bulgarian National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva met with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. A Bulgarian Parliamentary delegation headed by Tsveta Karayancheva is paying a visit to Azerbaijan on occasion of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Assembly, the press center of the Bulgarian Parliament announced. It is important for Bulgaria and Azerbaijan to continue developing their relations in the fields of power engineering, transport, new technologies, culture, sports and education, Tsveta Karayancheva and Ilham Aliyev agreed. Bulgaria continues working on the Balkan Hub gas project and as of 2020 it will be able to receive 1 billion cubic meters of Azeri gas per year thanks to the agreement between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, Tsveta Karayancheva underlined.

Bulgaria supports the further dialogue between the EU and Azerbaijan, including the new comprehensive agreement, the President of the Bulgarian National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva said in her speech to the National Assembly of Azerbaijan. Tsveta Karayancheva participates in Baku at the solemn meeting dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Parliament. Tsveta Karayancheva was the first President of foreign National Assembly who delivered a speech at the official ceremony, the press center of the Bulgarian National Assembly announced.

he President of the Bulgarian National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva also met with the Speaker of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly Binali Yildirim. Tsveta Karayancheva and Binali Yildirim are attending the celebrations in Azerbaijan on occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Parliament. Tsveta Karayancheva congratulated Binali Yildirim on his appointment as Speaker of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly and invited him to pay an official visit to Bulgaria. Binali Yildirim also invited his Bulgarian counterpart to visit Turkey.
