Bulgaria is the EU country with the highest share of women employed in the IT sector

According to a Eurostat analysis, Bulgaria is the European Union country with the highest share of women employed in the IT sector.

In Bulgaria, around 66 percent of the people working in IT are men, whereas the average percentage for the EU is 85, for the Czech Republic – 93, for Hungary and Poland – 90 percent. Salaries in the sector are among the highest on the labour market in Bulgaria - 30 000 Leva /15,339 euro/ a year on average.
